Additional Information about the Itinerary

  1. We’ve outlined a 5-night, 6-day itinerary above, but this route can be adapted in various ways. For a longer, more relaxed trek, you can spend about a week walking from the base. Alternatively, if you travel by car where possible, you can complete a round trip from Pokhara in as little as 2 nights and 3 days.
  2. For those with limited time but eager for a challenge, we’ve included a record (with photos) of a 1-night, 2-day round trip for reference. → Mardi Himal Trekking To plan your stay in Nepal, add 3 nights and 4 days to the trekking duration. Your total stay will vary based on your international flight schedule, so please contact us for more details.
  3. From March to April, you can enjoy the blooming rhododendrons, Nepal’s national flower, covering the mountains. Reference image: Rhododendron trekking season.
  4. From mid- to late November, you can see Himalayan cherry blossoms, believed to be the origin of Japanese cherry blossoms, in full bloom against the backdrop of the Himalayas—a view that is especially appealing to Japanese visitors.
  5. From January to February, some areas may become slippery due to snow and ice, so light crampons are recommended.

★For information about drinking water, please see below.

Drinking water in this area

The sale of mineral water is restricted in this area, and it is not available beyond New Bridge/Tilkedhunga. Instead, you can purchase plain water (spring or river water that has been boiled and cooled) or water filtered through a special filter. Both types are sold in 1-liter plastic bottles, similar to mineral water.

You can find these types of water at nearly every lodge and rest stop during the trek. If you prefer, you can bring chlorine or bromine tablets for additional purification.

We recommend preparing these tablets in advance, as we do not provide them.

Expenses other than trekking

The above trekking fees do not include the following:

  1.  Travel between Kathmandu and Pokhara
→ We can arrange tourist buses, chartered cars, or domestic flights. Domestic flight prices are listed on this page.
  2. Hotels in Pokhara, Kathmandu
→The hotels we arrange are of intermediate level or higher. Our opinions on hotels are posted on this page.
  3. Guide accompaniment fee outside the trekking period
→In addition to trekking, a guide can also accompany you on your journey between Kathmandu and Pokhara.

About Porter

For this course, if only one person is participating, it will be treated as a plan without a porter.

As a general rule, guides will not act as porters except in emergencies, so if you do not think you will be able to carry your luggage yourself, please request an additional porter.

In Nepal, every hotel offers a free baggage storage service for luggage that is not needed for trekking. If you leave unnecessary items at the hotel, many people go without a porter for trekking for about two nights. It is a bit tricky for three nights, though.

*If there are two or more people participating, a porter will accompany you, but please let us know if you do not need one.
