Day 7 Travel from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu by local bus or chartered car (approximately 7 hours)

Additional information about the itinerary

  1. You can start the day after you arrive in Nepal. It is best to plan your departure date for Nepal as the day after the end of the trek. However, if you use an international flight that can arrive in Nepal by around noon, it is possible to travel from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi on the same day (using a chartered car). In addition, the way you plan your trip will change depending on the international flight you use to Nepal, so please contact us for more information.
  1. If you use a round trip chartered jeep, it is possible to shorten the entire trip by one day. Due to the need for altitude acclimatization, the outbound itinerary will not be changed, but on the return trip, you can shorten the schedule by one day by descending to Syabrubesi and returning to Kathmandu on the same day by chartered jeep.
  1. The Nepal earthquake (M7.8) that occurred on April 25, 2015 caused avalanches and landslides above Langtang village on the Langtang trekking course, washing away Langtang village and its surrounding areas. Trekking was temporarily closed immediately after the earthquake, but the course itself reopened around the summer of 2015. In 2016, many lodges were built on the outskirts of Langtang village, and trekking is now possible without any problems.
  1.  During the rainy season from mid-June, alpine plants bloom in abundance. You can experience the green mountains, deep blue skies, and lovely plants that can only be seen during the rainy season, which will shatter the values of those who think that trekking is limited to the dry season.

Especially during the height of the rainy season from July to mid-August (the period varies each year depending on the rainfall situation), at altitudes above 4,500m, there is a high probability of seeing blue poppies, which are described as “mythical.” The mysterious plants of the Sauceraceae family are also fascinating. Since you need to travel to Tsergoli from Kyanjin Gompa (about 8 hours round trip), you will need to add at least one day to the above itinerary.

Expenses other than trekking

The above trekking fee does not include the hotel fee in Kathmandu. The accommodations we arrange are for intermediate level or above. Our opinion on hotels is posted on this page.

About Porter

For this course, if only one person is participating, it will be treated as a plan without a porter.

As a general rule, guides will not act as porters except in emergencies, so if you do not think you will be able to carry your luggage yourself, please request an additional porter.

In Nepal, every hotel offers a free baggage storage service for luggage that is not needed for trekking. If you leave unnecessary items at the hotel, many people go without a porter for trekking for about two nights. It is a bit tricky for three nights, though.

*If there are two or more people participating, a porter will accompany you, but please let us know if you do not need one.
