Example itinerary

Day 1 Travel from Kathmandu to Dhunche (1950m) by local bus or chartered car (approximately 6 hours)

*If you use a local bus, it only departs from Kathmandu at 7am.

*If you are using a chartered vehicle, the departure time can be adjusted
. *The road conditions are improving year by year, and if you leave early in the morning, you can often arrive at Dunche in the afternoon. In such cases, we do not stay overnight in Dunche and start trekking from this day.

(Stay in Dunche)

(Stay overnight at Shin Gompa)

Day 3 Trek to Laurevinayak (3930m) (approx. 3 hours)

*Spend time walking around the lake and up and down the surrounding hills.

(Stay in Dunche)

Day 6 Travel from Dhunche to Kathmandu by local bus or chartered car (approximately 6 hours)

Additional information about the itinerary

  1. You can start the day after you arrive in Nepal. It is best to plan your departure date for Nepal as the day after the end of the trek. However, if you use an international flight that can arrive in Nepal by around noon, it is possible to travel from Kathmandu to Dhunche on the same day (using a chartered car). In addition, the way you plan your trip will change depending on the international flight you use to Nepal, so please contact us for more information.
  1. During the rainy season starting in June, alpine plants bloom in abundance. You can experience the green mountains, deep blue skies, and delicate plants that can only be seen during the rainy season, which will shatter the notion that trekking is limited to the dry season.
  1. From July to mid-August, there is a high chance of seeing the mysterious blue poppy at altitudes of 4,500m or higher. The mysterious plant of the Sauceraceae family is also fascinating. There is also a high chance of seeing it around Gosaikunda.
  1. On the day of the festival called “Janai Purnima” in July to August, Gosaikunda is crowded with many Hindu worshippers. On this day and around the day, it becomes difficult to secure a lodge at Gosaikunda or in the surrounding area.

Expenses other than trekking

The above trekking fee does not include the hotel fee in Kathmandu. The accommodations we arrange are for intermediate level or above. Our opinion on hotels is posted on this page.

About Porter

For this course, if only one person is participating, it will be treated as a plan without a porter.

As a general rule, guides will not act as porters except in emergencies, so if you do not think you will be able to carry your luggage yourself, please request an additional porter.

In Nepal, every hotel offers a free baggage storage service for luggage that is not needed for trekking. If you leave unnecessary items at the hotel, many people go without a porter for trekking for about two nights. It is a bit tricky for three nights, though.

*If there are two or more people participating, a porter will accompany you, but please let us know if you do not need one.
