It is also recommended for those who, after trekking, would like to view the path they walked from the sky.

The most common option for viewing Mt. Everest is a mountain flight (using a propeller plane) from Kathmandu, but there are several other options, so please plan according to your schedule and budget.

From Kathmandu

Everest sightseeing flight (commonly known as mountain flight)

This is a sightseeing flight of approximately one hour that takes off and lands from Kathmandu, with the aim of flying close to the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest (8,848m), and circling the surrounding area to allow you to view it.

Helicopter tour

Shared Everest sightseeing flights began operating in October 2017. They are mainly operated during the dry tourist season.

From Pokhara

Ultralight Flight

Flights are made in ultra-small aircraft with a crew of two. Flights range from 15 minutes to up to 2 hours and are operated daily (except during the rainy season).

Helicopter tour

A round trip flight with a 15 minute disembarkation at Annapurna Base Camp is popular.
